About the Blanket

The design for this corn blanket took a painful amount of time to create and perfect, but it was well worth the effort!

This impressive corn cob works great as an over the chair cover or a super thick and soft floor throw.  Great for the kids (or you) to read a book on or watch something.

What is it?

This is a crazy creative floor throw or chair throw, it’s wonderfully thick and soft.  The corn husk is not attached and works magically as a shoulder cover while sitting on the corn cob!  What could be better than that?

The Wool

I used pure merino wool for the project and lightly felted it before knitting.  A full video tutorial on how to felt it is also included with this corn cob blanket tutorial.

Wool/Yarn Required (1 kg of wool roving is equal to 50 meters of super chunky yarn)

• Corn Body – 3 kg (6.6 lbs) of yellow wool roving 

• Corn Husk – 1.5 kg (3.3 lbs) of green 

•  Indian Corn Accents – 0.5 kg (14 oz) of rainbow colour 

Care – It can be hand washed in the bath tub and spun out in the washing machine.
